Legendary Dress

I would like to give my readers a dose of fashion history...a very humbling dose of fashion history. I give to you the most expensive piece of clothing ever sold, as the final selling price was $1,267,500...

The Happy Birthday Dress

More about this dress later (:

Everyone Love RAYBANS!

The Ray Bans Wayfarer has been manufactured since 1952. They've had their ups and downs in the market, but the Wayfarer has been seen on he biggest of stars and the largest of screens; Tom Cruise in Risky Business, Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, and my personal favorite, The Blues Brothers.

The Blue Brothers famously sporting the Ray Bans
Wayfarer in 1981.

Audrey Hepburn wearing the Wayfarer in
the film Breakfast at Tiffany's, 1961.

The Wayfarer has recently made a c
omeback, and are very popular amongst celebrities.

Celebrities agree - Ray Bans rock.

Funky Artist (:

I have been saving up for an iPod Touch (more about my crazed obsession later), and was also looking around for cases too. Incase has a really good rep, and I check out their website and found Steven Harrington. This California artist had designed a sweet iPhone case for Incase, and I was intrigued. I checked out his website and his stuff is psychaaaadelic. Like it really kills. :D

Let me show you;

Click on his link and you can see even more of his work, and even order it. (:

Shoes

A lot of posts today!

Here are some shoes that are note-worthy...

Shoes

1. Alexander McQueen Studded Bootie - I really like the vibe with this one. Skinny jeans, a chunky belts and a flowy top? Bohemian Beauty.

2. Stella McCartney Mesh Sandal - Very popular shoe. I've seen these on many celebrities.

3. Platform Suede Shoe - I'm not sure of the label on this one, tell me if you know. The color plus the suede is amazzzing. And the oversized buckle? Killller. I would pair these with black leggings and some chunky knits. (:

4. Hush Puppies Ankle Booties - In loovvve with the style of these, and the lace material is amaayyzing.

5. Givenchy Lace Boots - I love Givenchy shoes, and these are no exception.

6. Curved Heel Bootie - I cannot figue out the designer of these!! I love the color, and the curved heel has been very popular on the runway recently.

7. Chanel Bow Bootie - Classic Chanel style in bootie form. Gotta love it.

8. Yves Saint Laurent Sandal - Nice contrast with the metal (?) weaving and the ribbon tie.

9. Chanel Bootie - Again, gotta love it.

10. Maison Martin Margiela Cut-Out Boot - I like the different take on this classic.

11. Rick Owen Strap Boots - I really like these wedges! A billowy jumpsuit with a structured jacket? Chiiccc.

12. Alessandro Dell'Acqua Boots - I realllyy love these. Everything - the laces, the patent shine, the platform - these are real statement shoes.

13. Alexander McQueen Pumps - The shocking pink in the back is delicious.

14. Dolce & Gabbana Wedges - Really cool structure on these.

More Polyvoreee (:

I've bveen having some much fun with Polyvore (click here to see my Polyvore profile and what I've done so far), I thought I would post another set that I created.

A very Chanel-ish palette, with the muted neutrals, black, and sheer pinks, but a different style. Do you like it?

My (hoppppefully) D.C. Outfit

Hey all. (:
I found this amazing site that I used for yesterdays outfit, Polyvore. It let's you pick and drag clothing, shoes accessories, and other fun stuff to create a "set". Getting an account is free, and you can create as many sets as you want. You can publish your sets on the Polyvore site, and then other people can comment them, as you can do to their sets. It is soooo fun, and they have a great selection.
I thought I would use it to display the outfit I want for my school's D.C. trip. I'm going to wear this on the dinner cruise;

D.C.
I wanted a formal dress (as I never get to wear anythinnng formal), and I love black, so I went with Ruby Rox Bubble Dress (Nordstrom - $68.00). To play it up with some spring color, I chose yellow peep-toe heels, plus a zebra-print clutch, layered pearls, Ray Bans (I NEEEED TO GET SOME. Ever since I saw the Blues Brothers, I have been so obsessed. They are soooo chic.), and I am addicted to mascara, so I had to include it. (: If you need more information about the items and where to get them, just ask! & oh; tell me what ya think! (:
